About Us

We  have a commitment to support Black and Brown mothers & caregivers under the leadership of Black and Brown parents. We are here because as mothers of color, we need a space that is designed for us and welcomes our whole selves in this movement. We are here to validate each other while we make space for each of us to work towards a common goal.

October 2017

We hosted the first Understanding & Undoing Racism/Community Organizing Workshop in New London, CT, in over 10 years. Parents, students, and allies from SUNL, the NAACP New London Chapter, Safe Futures, FRESH New London, All Souls Unitarian Universalist, Hearing Youth Voices, and more participated in this 2 ½ day workshop. This workshop marked the beginning of our standard of developing an understanding of the dynamics of internalized, institutional, and systemic racism to help in areas of setting priorities, making decisions, and creating system change
